DREADBASS SOUNDSYSTEM, produced by Nate Mars and Kush Arora, is a ten-track,
collection of songs written and sung by Juakali that cover a range of issues
including the struggle of immigrants and working class people (Living In Babylon),
daring to live the life you dream with someone you love (Breakaway), experiencing
something miraculous (One of Those Nights) and doing the right thing (This Life).
DREADBASS- a style unique to Juakali- mixes dub, dancehall, dubstep and reggae.
This album is a must for the massive looking for a forward-thinking experience!
Arriving in LA via Brooklyn via Trinidad, Juakali has been lacing flows over
bass-influenced tracks since his debut in 2007. In that time, the globe-trotting
lyricist has remained innovative across all of the electronic and experimental
genres, always keeping the anchor of bass as the constant in his music.
